La policía de Cicero y la policía estatal de Illinois anuncian cargos contra dos sospechosos de dos homicidios
Cicero, Illinois (NED).– Funcionarios de la policía de Cicero y la policía estatal de Illinois dijeron que han acusado formalmente a dos personas, un adulto y un menor, de asesinato en primer grado en dos incidentes separados en los que murieron tres personas.
El 28 de septiembre de 2021, alrededor de las 11:38 p. m., Joseph Guzmán, de 20 años, residente de Cicero, fue acusado de dos cargos de asesinato en primer grado por disparar y matar al conductor y al pasajero de un vehículo en Stevenson Expressway cerca de Avenida Wentworth.
La Policía Estatal no ha facilitado los nombres ni datos de las dos víctimas fallecidas en el vehículo, ambas de 21 años.
El 24 de octubre de 2021, Guzmán, acompañado por un cómplice adolescente de 17 años, ambos conocidos miembros de pandillas callejeras, conducían en el área de Cicero y el vecindario Little Village en Chicago en busca de pandilleros rivales. Estaban armados con múltiples armas de fuego.
Guzmán y el menor condujeron hasta la cuadra 2800 de la 50th Court y observaron a un hombre, Joshua González, de 26 años, y, sin que el hombre los provocara, le disparó varias veces.
Tanto Guzmán como el menor fueron acusados de asesinato en primer grado por la muerte de Joshua González. El joven de 17 años ha sido acusado como adulto, dijo la policía.
El 27 de abril de 2022, la oficina del Fiscal del Estado del Condado de Cook aprobó dos cargos de asesinato en primer grado contra Guzmán. El 28 de abril de 2022, Guzmán no recibió fianza y actualmente se encuentra detenido en la cárcel del condado de Cook.
El delincuente juvenil está detenido con una fianza de $ 10 millones y no ha sido liberado.

Cicero Police and Illinois State police announce charges against two suspects in two homicides
Cicero, Illinois (NED).– Officials of the Cicero Police and the Illinois State police said they have formally charged two individuals, an adult and a juvenile, with First Degree Murder involving two separate incidents where three people were killed.
On Sept. 28, 2021 at around 11:38 PM, Joseph Guzman, 20, a Cicero resident, was charged with two counts of First Degree Murder charged in the shooting and killing of the driver and passenger of a vehicle on the Stevenson Expressway near Wentworth Avenue.
The State Police have not released the names or details of the two deceased victims in the vehicle, both 21 years of age.
On October 24, 2021, Guzman, accompanied by a 17-year-old juvenile accomplice, both known street gang members, were driving in the area of Cicero and Chicago’s Little Village neighborhood seeking rival gang members. They were armed with multiple firearms.
Guzman and the juvenile drove to the 2800 block of 50th Court and observed a man, Joshua Gonzalez, 26, and, without provocation, shooting him numerous times without provocation.
Both Guzman and the juvenile were charged with First Degree murder in the killing of Joshua Gonzalez. The 17-year-old has been charged as an adult, police said.
On April 27, 2022, the Cook County State’s Attorney’s office approved two counts of First-Degree Murder against Guzman. On April 28, 2022, Guzman was issued no bond and is currently being held at Cook County Jail.
The juvenile offender is being held on a $10 million cash bond and has not been released.
