Chicago, Illinois (NED).– Escoltada por el congresista del Distrito 4º de Illinois, Jesús (Chuy) García y otros funcionarios la primera dama de los Estados Unidos, Jill Biden acudió a visitar el Museo de Arte Mexicano localizado en Pilsen, una de las comunidades que representa el Congresista García. El gobernador de Illinois J.B. Pritzker, la alcaldesa de Chicago Lori Lightfoot y la presidenta del Condado de Cook, Toni Preckwinkle entre otros hicieron acto de presencia.
La visita de la primera dama Biden fue con el propósito de conmemorar el Mes de la Herencia Hispana y el mejor lugar para hacerlo fue precisamente en una de las comunidades más grandes de Illinois.
En su visita a Museo, destacó su interés por las exhibiciones de arte mexicano, el cual cuenta con una de las exhibiciones de arte más grande en la nación. Además de visitar el Museo de Arte Mexicano y destacar las contribuciones que los Hispanos o Latinos han dado a la nación, también visito el Colegio Daley y el Instituto Arturo Velásquez.
En el Instituto Arturo Velásquez se destacó la presencia del Secretario de Educación de la Nación, Miguel Cardona, él dijo que la administración Biden quiere involucrar a todos, incluyendo los Hispanos para fortalecer la educación para todos.

Jill Biden visits Chicago and highlights the contributions of Hispanics
Chicago, Illinois (NED).– Accompanied by Illinois 4th District Congressman Jesus (Chuy) Garcia and other officials, the First Lady of the United States, Jill Biden visited the Mexican Art Museum located in Pilsen, one of the communities that Congressman Garcia represents. Illinois Governor J.B. Pritzker, Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot and Cook County President Toni Preckwinkle among others were in attendance.
First Lady Biden’s visit was for the purpose of commemorating Hispanic Heritage Month and the best place to do it was precisely in one of the largest communities in Illinois.
In her visit to the Museum, she highlighted her interest in Mexican art exhibits, which has one of the largest art exhibits in the nation. In addition to visiting the Mexican Art Museum and highlighting the contributions Hispanics or Latinos have made to the nation, he also visited Daley College and the Arturo Velasquez Institute.
At the Arturo Velasquez Institute, the presence of Secretary of Education Miguel Cardona was highlighted, he said that the Biden administration wants to involve everyone, including Hispanics, to strengthen education for all.
