Street Closures on 47th Street during Festival this weekend
Chicago, Illinois (NED).– On Friday, June 16th, Back of the Yards Neighborhood Council (BYNC), will host its annual Fiesta Back of the Yards, a three-day street festival featuring live music performance at the main and cultural stage with over 40 bands all weekend long, dance performance from our Back of the Yards Ballet Folklorico along with other local dance troupes, local DJ’s, carnival rides and games.
Look for our major sponsors such as McDonald’s, Chicago White Sox, Goya, ComEd, Xfinity, Coca-Cola, and Meridian for free samples, resources, giveaways and much more. The festival will start on Friday, June 16th through Sunday, June 18th from 12:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m. on 47th Street from Ashland Avenue to Damen Avenue (1600 – 2000 West 47th Street).
Due to the festival, street closure is scheduled to start Wednesday, June 14th at 6:00 PM through Monday, June 19th at 6:00 AM. Road blocks will be set on all side streets in and around 47th Street from Ashland to Damen Avenues (1600 – 2000 West 47th Street.)
Furthermore, several streets on the festival route will have parking restrictions during street closure. No parking on these streets will start from Wednesday, June 14th at 6:00 PM through Monday, June 19th at 6:00 AM.
In addition, 47th Street traffic going westbound will be detoured Ashland Avenue / 43rd Street / Western Avenue; and 47th Street traffic going eastbound will be detoured Western Avenue / 51st Street / Ashland Avenue.

Cierres de Calles en la Calle 47 durante el fin de semana
Chicago, Illinois (NED).– El viernes 16 de junio, el Consejo Vecinal de Back of the Yards (BYNC) organizará su Fiesta Back of the Yards anual, un festival callejero de tres días que presenta música en vivo en el escenario principal y cultural con más de 40 bandas durante todo el fin de semana, espectáculo de danza de nuestro Back of the Yards Ballet Folklorico junto con otros grupos de danza locales, DJ locales, juegos de feria y juegos mecánicos.
Este año se cuenta con patrocinadores como McDonald’s, Chicago White Sox, Goya, ComEd, Xfinity, Coca-Cola y Meridian, para obtener muestras gratuitas, recursos, obsequios y mucho más.
El festival comenzará el viernes 16 de junio hasta el domingo 18 de junio a partir de las 12:00 p.m. – 10:00 pm. en 47th Street desde Ashland Avenue hasta Damen Avenue (1600 – 2000 West 47th Street).
Debido al festival, el cierre de calles comenzó desde el miércoles 14 de junio a las 6:00 p. m. hasta el lunes 19 de junio a las 6:00 a. m. Se establecerán bloqueos de vehículos en todas las calles laterales y alrededor de 47th Street desde la avenida Ashland hasta calle Damen (1600 – 2000 West 47th Street).
Además, varias calles en la ruta del festival tendrán restricciones de estacionamiento durante el cierre de calles. No habrá estacionamiento en estas calles desde el miércoles 14 de junio a las 6:00 p. m. hasta el lunes 19 de junio a las 6:00 a. m.
Además, el tráfico de la calle 47 que va hacia el oeste se desviará de Ashland Avenue/43rd Street/Western Avenue; y el tráfico de 47th Street hacia el este se desviará de Western Avenue / 51st Street / Ashland Avenue.
