On Sunday, March 24, as a result of a car accident, the Aguilar family unexpectedly lost one of their loved ones, Axel Aguilar, who was only 20 years old.

Axel graduated from Plainfield East High School and recently graduated from Universal Technical Institute.

Axel left too soon when he had his whole life ahead of him. His life is now a symbol of the forged dreams and hard work of his parents Maggie and Erik and the love of his brothers Erik and Jair.

Axel was a community leader, friend, nephew and cousin of many who loved him and still love him. In these moments of mourning for the Aguilar family and extended family, we can only count on the power and support of a community.  So a family member signed up for Gofund to ask for financial support to cover funeral expenses. No matter how big or small your contribution is, it will make the family feel that they are not alone.
