Chicago, Illinois (NED).– El premio mayor del Powerball para el sorteo de mañana se estima ahora en 255 millones de dólares. Sin embargo, alguien en Illinois ya está celebrando después de ganar $1 millón en el sorteo de Powerball de ayer.
El boleto ganador del Powerball se compró en Love’s Travel Stop, ubicado en 400 Steward Rd. en Rochelle, para el sorteo del lunes por la noche. El afortunado ganador acertó los cinco números, 24-33-35-37-42, para llevarse el premio del millón de dólares.
“¡Oh, vaya, qué emocionante!” exclamó Wade Embree, gerente de Love’s Travel Stop en Rochelle. “Aunque no sé quién es el ganador, sería muy bueno si fuera uno de nuestros clientes habituales que vive en la ciudad. Cualquier día de estos, espero que uno de ellos cruce la puerta y nos diga: “¡Soy millonario!”.
Embree ha sido el gerente de este establecimiento de Love desde que abrió hace unos cinco años.
“Rochelle no es una ciudad enorme, tenemos una población de poco más de 9.000 habitantes”, compartió Embree. “Desde que abrimos, los residentes aquí han hecho un trabajo fantástico apoyando nuestra tienda. Estamos agradecidos de estar ubicados en una comunidad tan amable y solidaria”.
Por vender el boleto ganador, Love’s Travel Stop recibirá una bonificación del uno por ciento del monto del premio, o $10,000.
Cuando se le preguntó qué planea hacer Love con el bono, Embree dijo: “Estoy seguro de que le daremos un buen uso a ese bono, realizando algunas actualizaciones y mejoras en nuestra tienda”.
En lo que va del año, ocho jugadores de la Lotería de Illinois han ganado $1 millón o más jugando al Powerball, la mitad de los cuales fueron en septiembre.
En total, los jugadores de la Lotería de Illinois compraron más de 13,000 boletos ganadores para el sorteo de Powerball del lunes 13 de noviembre.

$1 Million Winning Powerball ticket sold in Rochelle
Chicago, Illinois (NED).– The Powerball jackpot for tomorrow’s drawing is now an estimated $255 million. However, someone in Illinois is already celebrating after winning a cool $1 million in yesterday’s Powerball drawing.
The winning Powerball ticket was purchased at Love’s Travel Stop, located at 400 Steward Rd. in Rochelle, for Monday night’s drawing. The lucky winner matched all five numbers, 24-33-35-37-42, to score the million dollar prize.
“Oh wow – how exciting!” exclaimed Wade Embree, manager at Love’s Travel Stop in Rochelle. “While I don’t know who the winner is, it would be so nice if it’s one of our regular customers who lives in town. Any day now, I’m hoping one of them will walk through the door and tell us ‘I’m a millionaire!’”
Embree has been the manager at this Love’s location since it opened about five years ago.
“Rochelle isn’t a huge town, we have a population of just over 9,000,” shared Embree. “Since we opened, residents here have done a fantastic job supporting our store. We are grateful to be located in such a kind and caring community.”
For selling the winning ticket, Love’s Travel Stop will receive a bonus of one percent of the prize amount, or $10,000.
When asked what Love’s plans to do with the bonus, Embree said “I’m sure we will put that bonus to good use, making some updates and improvements to our store.”
So far this year, eight Illinois Lottery players have won $1 million or more playing Powerball, half of which were in September.
In total, over 13,000 winning tickets were purchased by Illinois Lottery players for the Monday, November 13 Powerball drawing.
The Illinois Lottery encourages all lucky winners to write their name on the back of their ticket and keep it in a safe place until they’re ready to claim their prize. Winners have one year from the date of the winning draw to claim their prize.
Powerball tickets are $2 each, and players have the option to add the Powerplay for an additional $1 for the chance to multiply non-jackpot prizes.
