Washington, DC— En conferencia de prensa el pasado miércoles 26 de julio, 2023 frente al Capitolio de los Estados Unidos, los congresistas Jesús “Chuy” García (IL-04) y Nanette Barragán junto con representantes de la comunidad empresarial que incluyen a Rebecca Shi, Directora Ejecutiva de la Acción de la Coalición de Inmigración Empresarial Estadounidense (Acción ABIC); Sergio Suárez, director ejecutivo del Instituto Norteamericano para el Avance Mexicano (NAIMA) y dueño de negocio, Chicago, IL; Jenni Tilton-Flood, miembro de la familia de Flood Brothers Farm, LLC, Clinton, ME, dieron a conocer que la semana pasada, García, Espaillat, Lou Correa (CA-46), Soto (FL-09) y otros 35 demócratas de la Cámara enviaron una carta al presidente Biden para pedirle a su administración que use la ley existente para ayudar a los trabajadores inmigrantes nuevos y veteranos que han contribuido a la economía de EE. UU. durante años al proporcionar permisos de trabajo y ampliar la libertad condicional humanitaria.

Washington, DC- At a press conference this past Wednesday, July 26, 2023 in front of the U.S. Capitol, Congressmen Jesus “Chuy” Garcia (IL-04) and Nanette Barragan along with representatives from the business community including Rebecca Shi, Executive Director of the American Business Immigration Coalition Action (ABIC Action); Sergio Suarez, Executive Director of the North American Institute for Mexican Advancement (NAIMA) and business owner, Chicago, IL; Jenni Tilton-Flood, family member of Flood Brothers Farm, LLC, Clinton, ME, released that last week, Garcia, Espaillat, Lou Correa (CA-46), Soto (FL-09) and 35 other House Democrats sent a letter to President Biden to ask his administration to use existing law to help new and veteran immigrant workers who have contributed to the U.S. economy over the years by providing immigrant work permits to immigrants who have contributed to the U.S. economy for years. This measure would be a sensible solution to the problem of immigration reform.
