Soñadores, TPS e Indocumentados

Berwyn, Illinois (NED).– Con frecuencia recibimos mensajes de los gobernantes de nuestra localidad, el Estado o la Nación o los partidos políticos.
Recientemente hablando con un lector nos mostró un mensaje que venía con la foto del presidente Joe Biden. El lector me dice. Yo vote por Joe Biden y el partido demócrata pensando que realmente iba a hacer el cambio que desde Barack Obama estamos esperando los inmigrantes indocumentados.
Y nada, los mensajes nos seducen a apoyar a nuestros líderes y partidos. Uno de los más recientes que recibí fue éste: “Más de 1,3 millones de demócratas ya han recibido sus tarjetas de membresía personalizadas, incluido de alguien súper especial. Solo echa un vistazo: La inversión estratégica en nuestro partido es la mejor manera de mantener nuestras mayorías este año. Como partidario de base dedicado, quería asegurarme de que no perdiera la oportunidad de unirse al presidente Biden para renovar su membresía en el Comité Nacional Demócrata. Done $10 para renovar su membresía DNC para 2022 y reserve su tarjeta de membresía antes de que sea demasiado tarde”. En el pasado yo apoye con donaciones al partido Demócrata. Y, ¿qué hemos ganado? ¡Nada!, me dice.
El comentario hecho por un inmigrante de origen mexicano, tiene mucho congruencia con lo que está ocurriendo. El presidente Joe Biden en su carrera a la presidencia de los Estados Unidos prometió verdaderos cambios para los Soñadores, los trabajadores TPS y los más de 11 millones de inmigrantes. Nada a ocurrido hasta ahora.
Los Soñadores continúan en el mismo limbo, con una escasa tranquilidad, mientras puedan continuar renovando su permiso, sin embargo están detenidos en su progreso y sus sueños. No cuentan con los servicios y recursos que otros grupos sean ciudadanos o residentes permanentes. Lo mismo ocurre con los trabajadores TPS, viven con la misma intranquilidad y estancados para un mejor futuro con sus familias. De los indocumentados ni hablar, ellos viven con una constante zozobra pensando que en cualquier momento se van a encontrar redadas disfrazadas de policías municipales que se dan a la tarea de detener a todo vehículo que no traiga actualizada la placa o estampa vehicular, o bien se vea sospechoso. En ocasiones los mismos conductores son responsables de ser detenidos por no utilizar el cinturón de seguridad personal o de alguno de sus pasajeros.
Lo cierto es que la comunidad inmigrante sigue en la misma situación y el presidente Joe Biden NO ha cumplido su PROMESA. Estamos a unos meses de elecciones intermedias. Los republicanos están tomando muy en serio la poca o nula acción del Presidente de los Estados Unidos y su partido
Demócrata y están alistándose para ganar sillas demócratas por su por inacción.
Este es justo el momento en que los demócratas dirigidos por el presidente Joe Biden tomen acción y cumplan con los Soñadores, los TPS y por lo menos con un grupo de indocumentados que tienen más de 38 años esperando por una amnistía o legalización. Son muchos años de espera. Las familias de estos indocumentados hablaron por ellos con su voto. Si no hay nada para antes del 8 de noviembre de 2022 los demócratas tendrán que olvidarse de todo y el presidente Biden pasará sin pena ni gloria.

Biden has done NOTHING for IMMIGRANTS
Dreamers, TPS and Undocumented

Berwyn, Illinois (NED) – We often receive messages from our local, state or national governors or political parties.
Recently talking to a reader he showed us a message that came with a picture of President Joe Biden. The reader says to me. I voted for Joe Biden and the Democratic Party thinking that he was really going to make the change that we undocumented immigrants have been waiting for since Barack Obama.
And nothing, the messages seduce us to support our leaders and parties. One of the most recent ones I received was this one, “More than 1.3 million Democrats have already received their personalized membership cards, including from someone super special. Just take a look: Strategic investment in our party is the best way to maintain our majorities this year. As a dedicated grassroots supporter, I wanted to make sure you didn’t miss the opportunity to join Chairman Biden in renewing your DNC membership. Donate $10 to renew your DNC membership for 2022 and reserve your membership card before it’s too late.” In the past I have supported the Democratic party with donations. And what have we gained, nothing,” he tells me.
The comment, made by an immigrant of Mexican origin, has a lot of congruence with what is happening. President Joe Biden in his run for the presidency of the United States promised real changes for Dreamers, TPS workers and the more than 11 million immigrants. Nothing has happened so far.
The Dreamers remain in the same limbo, with little peace of mind, as long as they can continue to renew their permit, yet they are held back in their progress and their dreams. They do not have the services and resources that other groups, whether citizens or permanent residents, have. The same thing happens with TPS workers, they live with the same uneasiness and stagnation for a better future with their families. The undocumented immigrants live in constant anxiety thinking that at any moment they will encounter raids disguised as municipal police officers who are given the task of stopping any vehicle that does not have an updated license plate or vehicle sticker, or looks suspicious. Sometimes the drivers themselves are responsible for being stopped for not using their own seat belts or those of any of their passengers.
The truth is that the immigrant community is still in the same situation and President Joe Biden has NOT kept his PROMISE. We are a few months away from the mid-term elections. The Republicans are taking very seriously the little or no action by the President of the United States and his Democratic Party and are getting ready for the midterm elections.
Democrat and are lining up to win Democrat seats for their inaction.
This is just the time for the Democrats led by President Joe Biden to take action and deliver for Dreamers, TPS and at least one group of undocumented immigrants who have over 38 years waiting for amnesty or legalization. That’s a lot of years of waiting. The families of these undocumented immigrants spoke for them with their vote. If there is nothing by November 8, 2022, the Democrats will have to forget about it all and President Biden will pass without a penalty or glory.
